À propos
The church of the Monastère des Bernardines, a building dating from the end of the 17th century with original architecture and listed as a Historic Monument, houses the collections of the Musée d'Art Sacré. Works of art, sculptures, paintings, textiles and silverware dating from the 12th to the 20th centuries are exceptionally well preserved and original, tracing the evolution of religious practices over the centuries. The presentation highlights the diversity of religious objects, while providing keys to understanding their iconography and functions. The collections also evoke the daily life of women's communities belonging to different spiritual families, in particular the Cistercian nuns and the Carmelites.
