A supervised canoeing trip down the Loue (between Rennes-sur-Loue and Belmont)
Much more than a simple descent, this canoe trip is an immersion in the heart of the living heritage of the Loue.
Away from the hustle and bustle, we invite you to explore the Loue. Accompanied by Ludovic, a qualified guide with a passion for the area, you'll spend half a day observing and understanding the natural environment.
This outing is for those who want to take a fresh look at the river: understand its history, decipher its past and present economy, and marvel at the richness of its biodiversity.
On the programme for your exploration:
- Heritage & History: Discover how man has shaped the Loue and how the river has, in turn, dictated the economic development of the region.
- Ecosystem & Biodiversity: Learn to identify the fauna and flora specific to this remarkable ecological corridor.
- Gentle Navigation: A fluid technical approach to gliding over the water in complete discretion, encouraging observation of local species.
Practical information
- Public: This outing is designed for those interested in nature and heritage. An interest in environmental issues is recommended to fully benefit from discussions with the guide.
- Meeting point: Between Rennes-sur-Loue and Belmont (confirmed 48 hours in advance depending on environmental conditions).
- Logistics: Navigation in a two-seater canoe. Shuttles are organised between the participants and the guide.
- Equipment provided: Lifejackets, helmets and wetsuits (weather permitting).
- Accessibility: From age 7 (must be able to swim). Tours suitable for people with disabilities (Ludovic is a qualified instructor): please contact us before booking.
- Duration: Allow 4 hours in total (including 2 to 2? hours in the water).
