Association Alfred Giess

The Alfred Giess Association, created in 2017, aims to promote the work of the painter Alfred Giess, Grand Prix de Rome in 1929, elected member of the Academy of Fine Arts in 1955. It contributes to this goal through actions aimed at inventorying, safeguarding, and making known this rich artistic heritage. Its first project is the safeguarding of the fresco of the "Martyrdom of Saint Christopher", painted by the artist in 1947, in the chapel of the church Saint-Christophe of Champlitte (70).
