A very old Chanitois society, the brass band plays a vital role in the town and neighboring villages during official ceremonies. It occasionally lends its support to the performances of other associations, such as the folk group "Les Compars de Chanitte", which it accompanies on festive occasions, in particular Saint-Vincent's Day.
With some fifteen active members, the association maintains a collective musical practice in the village, which was very active in the last century.
