This viewpoint, situated at an altitude of 1390m, is located at the top of the Tuffes massif, in Prémanon. It offers a view of the Rousses plateau and the various surrounding massifs and overlooks the biathlon stadium and the "Jason Lamy-Chappuis" ski jump. An orientation table will help you find your way around. It is also a remarkable sound site.
Access and hiking :
The lookout is accessible by car in summer: from the Jouvencelles car park, take the forest road that climbs to the top of the downhill ski slopes and chairlifts. You will then have to walk about 300m to the beginning of the red Balancier piste.
To discover this viewpoint, the Tourist Office offers a 13 km marked walking route starting from Prémanon. You can also start from La Darbella (7 km loop). The route sheet can be purchased at the Tourist Office (sheet n°14) or downloaded from : http://www.openrunner.com/index.php?id=1835514.
In winter:
Take a break during your downhill skiing trip: you can access this viewpoint from the Balancier red run (be careful when approaching, take off your shoes and go on foot)!
