À propos
Christmas Concert.
Originally from the Veracruz region, Yeni (Yesenia Garcia León) brings with her a treasure trove of songs drawn from the various traditional folk traditions of Mexico’s Atlantic coast, such as huapango, son jarocho, ranchera, and cumbia. The artist accompanies herself on the guitar,
the jarana (a plucked string instrument from Veracruz), percussion, or rhythmic foot-tapping (zapateado).
In this sensitive duo, Yeni shares the stage with the Franco-Burkinabé Michael Avron, a brilliant guitarist influenced by West African blues. Suitable for all ages.
