This timber-framed residence, built in the early XVIᵉ century, is a jewel of Morlaix civil architecture. It embodies the unique so-called "lantern" style, characterised by the presence of a large central space open over several levels, a monumental wooden spiral staircase and suspended walkways linking the floors. Restored in the 1990s and listed as a Historic Monument, it now welcomes visitors and hosts exhibitions from the museum's collections, particularly those focusing on the cultivation and working of linen, one of the region's most important economic assets. This intimate setting offers a sensitive and immersive approach to our heritage, while retracing the urban and social history of the town during the period of its commercial boom linked to linen.
