Le Théâtre de Morlaix

📍 Morlaix, Finistère · 27, rue de Brest, 29671 Morlaix
À propos
Located between the rue de Brest and the rue Gambetta, the current theatre was built in the heart of the town centre, on the site of the Sub-Prefecture, thanks to Count Paul Ange de Guernisac, who had bequeathed part of his fortune to the town in order to build a theatre worthy of the name. The work, which began in 1887, was efficiently completed twelve months later, in accordance with the terms of the contract. The theatre, with a capacity of 600 seats, was inaugurated on 14 April 1888 by the Comédie Française. Today, the theatre is the heartbeat of the city with the shows programmed each year: dance, concerts, theatre, artists' residencies... A jewel to discover under the lights of the stage!
