À propos
Saint-Pierre church was built in 1892 to plans by Arthur Regnault, a well-known local architect who built many churches in Ille-et-Vilaine. The 1892 church was built on the site of the former 16th-century church.
The current church features an original plan, with a flat roof, a bell tower-porch and polygonal chapels all around. The interior of the church also reflects its architectural originality. Resting on 4 central pillars, with no aisles, the church offers the faithful numerous views of the altar.
Arthur Regnault also designed part of the iconographic program for the stained glass windows. There are 32 stained glass windows in the church, 30 of which are visible to the public. They form a veritable crown of light in the building. These windows were protected by the Monuments Historiques commission in 1980.
