À propos
Built in the 14th and 15th centuries, Château du Bois Orcan, a listed historic monument, is an architectural gem from Brittany's Golden Age. Having regained its identity after complete restoration, it bears witness to the culture and refinement of Julien Thierry, Anne de Bretagne's silversmith. Today, the dwelling houses a rare collection of medieval furniture, featuring some of the oldest pieces preserved in Europe.

To recreate the landscape environment of the Château du Bois Orcan in the late 15th century, Alain Richert created the Jardin de la Fontaine de Vie, which reflects the art of living at the time of the Valois, and refers to both the Hortus Conclusus and the jardin d'amour.

The Bois Orcan estate also features L'Athanor, the Museum and Sculpture Park of Etienne-Martin (1913-1995), a major figure in twentieth-century art. Le BOIS ORCAN has been awarded two "Remarkable Garden" labels, one for the garden and the other for the park.

Open from Easter to All Saints Day. Reservations recommended.
