Le Grand Site Dunaire Gâvres - Quiberon

📍 Erdeven, Morbihan · 56410 Erdeven
À propos
Brittany's largest dune system. Within the Grand Site de Gâvres à Quiberon, the Erdeven dune massif boasts an exceptional natural heritage. Its 385 hectares of dunes extend the beach inland.

The landscape alternates between mobile dunes, shifting with the winds and tides, grey dunes where low-growing vegetation proliferates, and ponds with remarkable biodiversity adapted to this very special environment. This vast natural area, owned by the Département du Morbihan, is managed in partnership with the Syndicat mixte du Grand Site Gâvres Quiberon. The Syndicat mixte du Grand Site Gâvres Quiberon brings together the coastal municipalities of Quiberon, Saint Pierre Quiberon, Plouharnel, Erdeven, Étel, Plouhinec and Lorient Agglomération for Gâvres, and has been running an Opération Grand Site since 1997.

The aim of this voluntary initiative is to obtain the "Grand Site de France" label, a guarantee of quality hospitality and sustainable development. In this way, the syndicat mixte works to preserve the landscape and heritage in harmony with human activities.
