At the southernmost tip of the Presqu'île, the Pointe de Conguel, under the protection of the Conservatoire du Littoral, is an ideal place for a stroll. Here you'll discover the seaweed ovens that were once used to burn kelp washed up by the sea. The resulting ash was processed to extract iodine.
A path leads around the Pointe to an orientation table.
Offshore, two islets emerge: the "petit trou", accessible on foot during high tide, and the "grand trou", where Gallic burials were discovered. Further out, the Teignouse lighthouse stands on a rocky shoal where the battleship France sank in 1922.
