Former hunting lodge of Chambord, built on the orders of François Ist, it is renowned for its famous portrait gallery, the first Facebook in history. The landscaped park has great variety and covers 40 ha; it is supplemented by the Portraits garden as imagined by landscape architect Gilles Clément.
