Invited by Passages to curate his first exhibition, François Lancien-Guilberteau returns to a venue that hosted his first institutional exhibition in 2009, at the invitation of artist Dominique Blais.
The exhibition brings together works by David Askevold, Hanne Darboven, Charlotte Houette & Cooper Jacoby, Ines Kivimäki, Boris Kurdi, Philippe Parreno, and Naoki Sutter-Shudo.
%C0 Through these various works, %AB “Demande au vide” %BB explores conceptions of time that depart from a linear reading based on the succession of causes and effects, paving the way for other forms of interpretation.
Without directly drawing on the codes of occultism or divination, the works employ protocols, rituals, and interpretive mechanisms that may resonate with certain divinatory practices.
An invitation to take a different look at time, in a context marked by predictive models, speculative markets, and ecological crises.
A book dedicated to the research of François Lancien-Guilberteau, co-published by Three Dice and Passages, will be released in 2027.
