Le Sourire de Luis

It is with joy, ease, lightness, and lyricism that Mathieu Sempér lends his talents as an actor and tenor to the incomparable Mariano, alongside three fellow actors and singers.
We are taken on a journey through a comedy that alternates between gags, far-fetched situations, and musical excerpts that made Luis Mariano famous (“La Belle de Cadix,” “O sole mio,” “Tosca,” etc.) This show is unique in that it chronicles the artist’s life as well as his musical and vocal evolution. The young, dynamic Mariano of *La Belle de Cadix* contrasts with the mature Mariano of *Le Prince de Madrid*, where he becomes the ideal seducer.

This tribute captures Luis’s temperament—always cheerful and playful—in a funny, dynamic, colorful, yet always romantic, featuring nine actors, including a hilarious, very British pianist whose performance brings a refreshing originality to the show—a must-see for 1 hour and 25 minutes of fun.
