The Jardin Botanique de Saverne, created by pharmacist-botanist Émile Walter, is located halfway up the Col de Saverne, at the Saut du rocher Prince Charles (D1004), at an altitude of 335 metres.
The 2.5-hectare site, set in a magnificent clearing, is home to vast collections of plants whose beauty and uniqueness are sure to win you over.
Discover the "Alpinum", a collection of perennials and mountain plants, as well as lilies and irises, for example.
Then, in the lower part of the Garden, let yourself be dazzled by the "Arboretum", comprising a wide range of coniferous and deciduous species on the one hand, and shrubs and bushes on the other.
Don't forget to stop off at the "Tourbière", where you'll be able to discover the carnivorous "Sarracenia", as well as various other plants from aquatic environments.
Finally, familiarize yourself with various types of ferns, including the Vosges flora, and numerous lawns.
