À propos
The Adolf Michaelis Museum houses a rich collection of casts, most of them antique, built up by Adolf Michaelis towards the end of the 19th century. Since then, the gypsotheque has been run by a student association.
Among the many pieces in the collection are famous pieces from European museums, such as the Victory of Samothrace and the Apollo of Belvedere.
This collection is the first university collection in France, and today represents a priceless historical and archaeological heritage.
Museum access :
- via the main entrance to the Palais Universitaire, by taking the staircase to the right of the Marc Bloch aula down to the garden level.
or
- from the rear of the Palais Universitaire, from the gardens on the rue de l?Université side (access for people with reduced mobility).
NB: Museum temporarily closed.
