À propos
Triembach-au-Val remained a subsidiary of Villé for a long time. A first chapel was built in the 16th century, already dedicated to Saint Christopher. The vault, dated 1619 and armoured (twig of foliage, stylised wave and Greek cross) certainly comes from this chapel, rebuilt or enlarged before the outbreak of the Thirty Years' War. The present church dates back to 1777, while Triembach did not become a parish until 1803. The church is dedicated to St. Christopher. He is the patron saint of travellers and the auxiliary saint who preserves from sudden death.
