Deux repères noirs

The work installed here in the Cour des Chaines was acquired by the city of Mulhouse in 1991. It consists of two sculptures, themselves made of pieces of wood tightly tied together. Anne Marie Schoen considers these sculptures as landmarks, hence the title, which could be used in the city to represent or draw a route. These sculptures have already been created by the artist for other places or events, notably in art trails related to water.
