Formerly known as "Zoo du Bois" Creations by Emile Chaudron (1927-2003) Museum of figures made from branches in their natural state, without collage or shaping.
"In 1960, the discovery of a Mirabelle branch in his garden in the shape of a dog's head awakened his passion and imagination. He exhibited his first works in 1961, and from 1962 at the Salon des Artistes Indépendants. This was followed by exhibitions, prizes, praise from the press, radio and television (several national and regional broadcasts) and recognition by the fine arts."
He set up his "ZOO de BOIS, MUSEE aux BRANCHES" in Orquevaux from 1963 to 1976, and in Prez-sous-Lafauche from 1977 until his departure in November 2003.
Today, his works are exhibited in Lafauche by the "Patrimoine et Esprit d'Art" association.
A 2nd room of the museum is dedicated to the history of the fortress and the village.
