In the 19th century, above Brevoines and Buzon, the Langres Seminary owned several plots of land bordering the hillside for almost two kilometers. Pupils from the various schools regularly went there on Wednesday outings to engage in playful activities, using the "dry stone" technique to build snails, amphitheaters and the curious "Chardonville chapel".
