À propos
Many of Langroise's houses have inherited from the medieval period their narrow street width, high number of storeys and combination of artisanal and residential use. Most of the street facades were redesigned in the following centuries, with a view to modernity. This one, with its half-timbered frame, is an exception. The different functions are clearly superimposed: the two cellar levels were used for storage, the stone first floor was used as a workshop or craftsman's stall, and the corbelled upper floors were reserved for living quarters.
