Eglise Saint-Marcel d'Odival
À propos
The church of Odival was the seat of a parish administered by the prior of Tronchoy and later by the bishop of Langres. In May 1829, the tender for the reconstruction of Saint-Marcel church was announced, based on an estimate by architect Mangot dated February 4, 1829. Contractor Jean-Baptiste Herost, from Juzennecourt, carried out the work for 15,500 francs. Acceptance took place on January 3, 1831. The nave has a single nave with a ceiling, and is preceded by a tower-porch crowned by a slate pavilion roof. It is framed at its base by a secondary chapel and the angled interior staircase. The single-span choir ends in a flat chevet, against which the gable-roofed sacristy is built.
