One night, Professor Sangria, a blood specialist, has a strange encounter in her laboratory. What is this eight-year-old boy doing there? She has no time to waste; she’s working on a major project: creating a pill that grants immortality. But Lucien Mortimare is counting on the scientist to help him solve his problem: he no longer likes blood. Because yes, Lucien is a vampire; he’s been eight years old for a very long time—too long: if blood now disgusts him, what pleasure is there left in life? Lucien is bored.
In the dead of night, the little vampire and the scientist clash until they reach a mysterious pact…
Between a demoralized little immortal and a woman haunted by mortality, it is the meeting of two solitudes. In their company, we ponder otherness, the meaning of time, and the spice of life: what mysteries make existence an adventure?
