📍 Dabo, Moselle · Lat. 48,5928 Long. 7,2507, 57850 Dabo
À propos
The Hengst (877m) rises between the Spitzberg (761m) and the Grossmann (987m) in the beautiful and peaceful Zorn valley. This rock, which was feared by the locals, has a strong resemblance to the body of a horse (Hengst = stallion in German) and is said to have given its name to the entire mountain. The Hengst is one of the many standing stones, probably of Celtic origin, that can be found in our forests.

How to get there: Spitzberg hiking trail (12,4 km ? red ring) starting from the Col de la Schleif between Dabo and La Hoube. See map " Randonnée au Pays de Phalsbourg ? secteur Dabo " available free of charge in the tourist information offices. IGN map of reference : 3715 OT.
