In the 1920s and 1930s, the size of the development fields necessitated the creation of a new ventilation shaft. In the 1950s, the well was sunk to a depth of 350 to 450 metres. Later, in 1978-1979, the Simon 3 well was deepened to 843 metres. In 2001, the revenue was demolished and the well closed.
