A new fishing trail has just been
in the heart of Val d?Ajol!
Supported by the Vosges fishing federation and the AAPPMA du Val d?Ajol et du Girmont, this course is the first in the Vosges to be awarded the "Label Découverte Pêche" (Fishing Discovery Label), which distinguishes sites where beginners can learn the sport in the best conditions of accessibility, safety and success of their first catches. The Communauté de Communes Porte des Vosges Méridionales and the Commune de Le Val d?Ajol have contributed financially to the realization of this fine project, which enhances the region?s riverbanks and waterways while developing a high-quality tourist offering.
The "Discovery" courses enable beginners to discover and/or learn about fishing in the best conditions of accessibility, safety and success of the first catches. Most often located close to lakes or, occasionally, in rivers or small diversion bays, these courses are modest in size, offering easy access for all and optimum fishing comfort, if possible close to population centres.
An essential tool for the network, they must meet the requirements of a group (shelter, sanitary facilities, safety, etc.) and are subject to special regulations (one-pole fishing, catch and release).
