Chantier de construction navale traditionnelle

📍 Étaples, Pas-de-Calais · Boulevard Bigot Desclers, 62630 Étaples
À propos
Since 1951, this shipyard has never ceased to live and is still practising the old-fashioned way of building wooden ships. A naval carpenter, a true enthusiast, will show you, in a few minutes, two facets. The first one, that of the activity which reigns permanently: the construction and the restoration of traditional boats. The second facet is that of discovering objects and ships from the past. It is here that the Charles de Foucauld was born (in 1958), restored and conserved, a trawler from Staplois classified as a historical monument.
Free visit from 9 am to 11.30 am and from 3 pm to 4.30 pm, guided tour at 2 pm (on reservation).
