Le Quartier du Trech

The Trech district, the historic heart of Tulle, grew up around Notre-Dame Cathedral, built between the 12th and 14th centuries. Its steep streets and old houses bear witness to its medieval past. The 13th-century Gothic cloister, listed as a Monument Historique since 1840, houses a chapter house with frescoes dating from the early 14th century. The Maison Loyac, built in the early 16th century, is an example of local Renaissance architecture.
