The Fédération de la Pêche de la Haute-Vienne, in conjunction with the department's AAPPMAs, has been working for a number of years on the development of the fishing industry, in particular by developing access to the river network for people with reduced mobility. The hand-fishing stations accessible in Haut Limousin are as follows: Bellac - banks of the Vincou, at the Pont de la Pierre (Aimé Vallat park), Val d'Oire et Gartempe - Thiat - le Moulin de Bram, Lac de Saint-Pardoux - Santrop bridge and La Ribière.
