Nestled in the heart of the Monts du Limousin, Château du Chambon retains the authenticity of a seigniorial seat in the Marche limousine region. A fortified enclosure from the Middle Ages, a Renaissance dwelling and then the residence of the rural nobility under the Ancien Régime, this privately-owned, listed château is well worth a visit. In the off-season, this must-see site can be visited during a private tour of over an hour with the owners, by prior arrangement.
