Le Roc d’Enfer

The Roc d’Enfer is one of the most spectacular natural landscapes in southern Vienne-Poitou. Situated on the banks of the Gartempe, it reveals a jumble of granite boulders and cliffs that tower over the river’s waters. This landscape, shaped by erosion, marks the point where the Gartempe enters the Sud-Vienne region from the Massif Central. The site offers an ideal setting for hiking, rock climbing, and enjoying the scenery. The trails allow visitors to explore a wild valley where rocky outcrops, woodlands, heaths, and meadows alternate.
