The Benedictine abbey of Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens was probably founded around 800 AD. Dependent on Psalmody Abbey from the 10th to 12th centuries, it became part of Saint-Victor de Marseille in the 14th century. It boasts an imposing fortified Romanesque bell tower and a recently restored cloister, both dating from the 12th century.
