Marché à Cahors

Right in the city centre, it is all year round that on Wednesday and Saturday mornings the square of St Etienne's cathedral adorns itself with its many multicoloured stalls and houses one of the most beautiful markets in the South West.

Traditional shopkeepers (butchers, greengrocers, pork butchers...) rub shoulders with local producers (foie gras, goat cheese "Rocamadour", farm lamb from Quercy, the famous apple cake called "Pastis"... ) and the magic happens.
The market becomes a place of meeting and conviviality where one can enjoy the smells and flavours and all the senses are at the festival.
Here you come to do your shopping but also to stroll and soak up the local atmosphere.

Your camera will be a useful companion for unique shots of the cathedral domes or for immortalizing portraits of the producers.

Practical side: there is a large car park 200 m away on the other side of Bd Gambetta.
