Catherine Lemouzy?s Atelier de Reliure-Dorure, et Restauration de livres anciens was founded in April 2003.
The creation of the workshop was the result of a meeting with P. Charras, a bookbinder based in Aveyron, who came from a family of bookbinders and was able to pass on his passion and know-how.
Training with his guide and trainer then began for several years. Alongside his bookbinding activities, he also restores paper and leather for old books.
The lesson of all this apprenticeship can be summed up in three words:
Bookbinding is a job for : Rigor, Patience, Precision.
