%A0%AB J%E9r%F4me Commandeur’s return to the stage is a balm for %E0 my %EAtre, %E0 my %E2me. With his witticisms as sharp as cutlass blades, he aims to make France—the country he holds so dear, the one that flows through his veins—laugh. From the fragrant Normandy woodlands to the green hills of the Loire, via the salty beaches of the Atlantic, he carries his audience on his shoulder everywhere he goes. Proudly. Outrageously. “Go on, kid, I’ll take the training wheels off your little bike and watch you take flight, like a seagull drunk on the wind over Jersey.”—Victor Hugo
