À propos
Built in 1906, this water tower owes its existence to the military administration. Although the creation of a drinking water network had been necessary since the 1880s, the municipality initially rejected the idea because of the cost and technical difficulties involved. But in 1887, under pressure from the military administration, they relented. This was the genesis of Sélestat?s drinking water network.
The water tower is still in use today.
