Exposition Cigéo - Dessus/Dessous

On the border between the Meuse and Haute-Marne departments, the National Agency for Radioactive Waste Management (Andra) is working on the design of the Cigéo industrial geological storage facility project and preparing for its arrival in the region. The studies focus in particular on the rocks and their behavior, as well as the materials and engineering aspects of the project.

The guided tour of the “Above/Below” exhibition offers an immersive experience of the Cigéo model, following the path of a radioactive waste package from its production to its final storage. It demonstrates how the future facility will operate, from the above-ground buildings (the “above”) to the underground storage cells (the “below”). The tour continues with a look at full-scale robots and prototypes.

Free guided tour; no appointment needed for individuals, but reservations are required for groups.
A physical ID is required for adults.
