Located on the outskirts of Compiègne, Parc de Bayser offers a green, flower-filled setting for residents and tourists alike, and opens directly onto the Compiègne forest.
Its two hectares of greenery and tall trees offer a host of activities for youngsters, including cycling, ball games and balance exercises on a fitness trail.
The rose garden invites visitors to discover a rare collection of some 364 varieties of roses.
A permanent orienteering course:
The City of Compiègne, in collaboration with the Tourist Office, the Département and the Compiègne Orienteering Club, has designed and installed a permanent orienteering course in the Parc de Bayser. Three courses are available, with as many levels, for beginners and experienced orienteers alike.
o The green course introduces the sport and map reading. The markers are on the paths and very close to each other.
o The blue course is a simple orienteering course that takes you off the beaten track
o The red course requires good map reading and handling skills. Beacons require a good orienteering technique to find them.
