À propos
Sainte-Marie de Souillac abbey owes its origins to the Benedictine monks of Saint-Pierre d?Aurillac, who established a dependency here in the 10th century.
Famous for its depiction of the prophet Isaiah (inaccessible due to construction work), the 12th-century building boasts a high-quality sculptural ensemble and, along with Cahors Cathedral, is the only surviving Romanesque church with a row of domes in the Haut-Quercy region.
