The keep of Saint-Chély is an old watchtower which allowed the barons of Apcher to watch the surroundings of the village and to transmit messages from tower to tower. It has its current form, very different from its original form, only since the beginning of the 19th century. Since then, it has served as the town's bell tower, even though it is far from the church.
