For several years now, Nanda Suc and Aude Martos have been collecting the most absurd gems from the web on a daily basis: photographs, GIFs, and WTF videos. From this digital overload has emerged a fascination with images that provoke an immediate shock, a paralysis of judgment. Intense, isn’t it?
Welcome to a space-time where control no longer has a place. In a kitschy carnival-style setting rife with potential for accidents, the two artists—almost like twins—ride their mechanical bulldog and take on one absurd challenge after another.
With audacity and humor, they bring the overload of our screens to life on stage. A true poetic outlet, *Violent* is nonetheless a perceptive reflection on our consumerist society. What happens if we give in to all our whims? If we let accumulation dilute the meaning of our actions? Suitable for all ages 13 and up.
