À propos
GiedR%E9—what she really loves in life is writing funny songs about things that aren't really that funny.
And what she loves even more is singing her funny-songs-about-not-so-funny-things on stage, because the lights are really bright and %E7a makes her %AB look ten years younger %BB. At least that’s what she thinks, but people aren’t fooled.
So she’s heading out on tour again, with a new “Maxi Best Of” package—no fries, but featuring her biggest hits, at least in the eyes of her family (who constantly mistake her for Barbra Streisand). In all the time she’s been waiting in this darkroom, she’s written no fewer than 150 songs—maybe more—but she can’t count past that (though then again, you rarely need to count past 150). So she’s chosen her favorites, the ones people love, written some new ones, and here she is, back on the road to sing them to those who are far from home but have something in their eyes that hurts. But if you’re not far from home and nothing in your heart hurts, come anyway—if only to see if the stage lights really do make you feel younger. (And if you don’t get the reference—as the kids say—brush up on your classics.)
