Villa des sapins
À propos
The villa des sapins is also called villa Hoffmann or Bandeschlessel. The building was originally a restaurant which became a youth center in the 1960s and today houses the General Family Association. The villa dates from the end of the 19th century, from 1896, and a monogram VJ is on the building. The house has a square plan, the walls are made of sandstone and colored brick on the first floor. On the building are coats of arms with an eagle and glass windows with the arms of the city of Strasbourg. The building has a facade and a roof that stands out from the landscape, accompanied by an oriel and balcony. It is a typical example of the eclectic architecture of the late nineteenth century, which is characterized by an important repertoire of Antiquity and Renaissance.
