Crêtes des Vosges mosellanes

The site is a group of forest environments that range from 520 to over 1000 meters in altitude. It is home to at least five protected bird species: the Capercaillie, the Hazel Grouse, the Peregrine Falcon, the Tengmalm's Owl and the Black Woodpecker. The Capercaillie is one of the main issues of the site. However, its future seems to be strongly compromised on the site, it is not reported every year and with very low numbers.
