</p><p><br></p><p>On the occasion of the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and Korea, the Musée Champollion? Les Écritures du Monde in Figeac and the National Museum of World Writing Systems in Incheon are teaming up to explore Korean culture through its relationship with the written word, and in particular the invention of its script, hangeul.</p><p>Created in 1443 by King Sejong in a bid to facilitate literacy among his people, hangeul is one of the few scripts whose genesis and establishment is perfectly documented
