Aurélie Proudom

Since I started out in ceramics, my sources of inspiration have evolved. Having started out in the world of decoration, and being passionate about drawing, I tend to incorporate these aspects into my creations. Throwing and casting are the techniques I use the most to create structure and give free rein to my engraved motifs or to my colourful, moving glazes. Using porcelain and Puisaye stoneware, I manage to find a compromise between the lightness of the light and the roughness of the rock. I have often looked at the universe from a macro or micro point of view. What surrounds us in nature: seeds, plants and minerals. All seen as a whole, or very closely. With the chemical reactions that nature provokes, inspiration becomes infinite.
