The Béchet beach is a delight with its cabins in multiple shades of blue and the spectacle of the boats that have dropped anchor here. It also offers a beautiful view of the Château du Nessay.
The beach is unsupervised.
Parking and access to the beach :
- Access by car: free parking on boulevard du Béchay (blue zone in July and August). Direct access from the parking lot via stairs and a ramp at the north end of the beach.
- Public transport: BreizhGo ? Line 516. La Houle stop. The beach is 450 meters from the bus stop.
Pets :
Pets are allowed on Béchet beach from September 16 to June 14.
Exposure and swimming conditions :
Le Béchet beach faces south. It is the best exposed beach in Saint-Briac-sur-Mer, protected from the wind.
Swimming is possible at high tide. At low tide, the beach is completely uncovered. Anse du Béchet is home to numerous anchorages, and therefore to a large number of pleasure boaters. Please exercise caution when swimming. The quality of the bathing water is classified as "Excellent" by the French Ministry of Health (2025).
