The Maison de la Vannerie (museum) is the technical, cultural and historical reference center for the profession. Presentation of four short documentaries on wickerwork, wicker culture, research, partnerships between wickerworkers and designers, folklore and testimonials from craftsmen. The Maison de la Vannerie showcases collections of basketry and rattan items from the École de Vannerie, as well as showcasing local know-how with innovative creations in form and color.
Individuals and groups welcome, by reservation.
To complete your discovery, you can also take part in a weaving workshop led by a basket-maker or, if you prefer theory, a demonstration by a craftsman (addresses of basket-makers on request from the Fayl-Billot Tourist Office).
Guided tours for individuals available from May to October (subject to prior booking and availability).
