CATHÉDRALE SAINT-MICHEL
À propos
Church of Languedoc Gothic style, dating from the 13th century, it became a cathedral in 1803 and was restored by Viollet le Duc after the fire of 1849.
The plan of the cathedral is characterized by a relative simplicity. It forms a single nave with a vaulted height of 20 metres, and is bordered by several side chapels. The choir preserves stained glass windows from the 14th century. The very sober facade only has a large rose window with a diameter of 8 metres, and the bell tower adjoining this facade is quite massive.
